COVID-19 Timeline Project

Coronavirus As Seen Under An Electron Microscope
Coronavirus As Seen Under An Electron Microscope

My largest and most complex webpage project to date. In this project I’ve attempted to map out key events in the Coronavirus pandemic as a way of making sense of what otherwise might appear to be unrelated incidents. My timeline starts several years before the virus makes it’s great leap forward from whatever animal host it came from into humans. The timeline is divided into one page per month (after the first two pages) and in a day-by-day sequence.

This is a living document; I add new data to the timeline in it’s date-location as the data becomes available. The listed events include an icon bullet linked to it’s source reference for further reading. I’ve also collected a number of documents and provided as linked downloads on my sidebar . Whenever copyright permissions allow, I’ve stored copies of the documents on my website in the event they should go missing from their original location. Not that our government or private institutions would ever try to destroy documents that might embarrass important people.

My sidebar also contains additional refences material that don’t fit into a date box, but I feel is significant in understanding the pandemic. This additional reference includes commentary in pop-up windows and links articles for additional reading.

In the spirit of sharing information, I’ve made my reference working notes freely available under creative commons license.

I hope my readers find this timeline helpful.
